The Sunna as Evidence
This is a series giving the evidence for the fundamental importance of Sunna in Islam.
Dr. Haddad has adapted the following material from Shaykh `Abd al-Ghani `Abd al-Khaliq, Hujjiyyat al-Sunna (Herndon, VA: Dar al-Wafa', 1993 [IIIT in Washington, DC]).
Author's Profile
Dr. Gibril F. Haddad has given the following profile of himself (August 1999)....
I am not a scholar but a student of Islamic scholars and scholarship who converted to Islam with a background in humanities. I have been involved in translating from Arabic into English for about nine years. I follow the Shafi`i madhhab and the Naqshbandi Tariqa. I presently reside in Damascus where I have had the priviledge of hearing various ulamas in the different disciplines of Islam over the past two years. I have written a brief account of my journey to Islam which was posted at:
http://members.aol.com/askgive/stories/fouad1.htm
Recently back from Hajj, I wrote a brief journal which was posted at the following site:
http://naqshbandi.net/haqqani/Islam/Shariah/ibadaat/hajj/two_sanctuaries.htm
Some of my recent translations are available at the following sites:

Allah's blessings and peace on the Prophet, his Family, and his Companions, and praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
